Stop one: Music City in Nashville, TN.
All that was running through my mind as we approached our first stop was, "is Nashville going to live up to the hype"? I briefly visited once before, but this stop on my cross country trip was really my first time spending time exploring Nashville like a tourist. With two full days, a cozy Airbnb, and an open schedule, I was more than excited to start this long journey in Music City. We explored the broadway, the Parthenon, the Gultch, and the charming walkable area of 12&south. The food was WAY better than I expected. Our first meal was at Hattie B's Hot Chicken. Ya'll. I have never had fried chicken like this. Everything tasted so good, we cleared our plate and didn't even leave room for dinner that night! Our next stop was Arnold's cafeteria. We ordered the James Beard awarded roast beef and were blown away by the originality flavor and soul in our meal. Last meal was at Rolf & Daughters. Besides being one of the best meals I've ever had (and strongest cocktails), I fell in love with the waiter, Ashton and would have bought all their merch if I had the money. If you couldn't already tell, I really loved Nashville. This southern city only four hours from Atlanta definitely lives up to the musical and culinary hype.
